From any district of Dhaka / country, launch or bus will have to get off at Barguna district bus stand. From the bus stand you have to go to Betagi Upazila by bus / motorcycle. You can come to Bibichini Union by motorbike 10 km away from Betagi Upazila Sadar of Barguna district and come to Bibi Chini Mosque by rickshaw.

From Dhaka Sadarghat to Barguna launch you have to get off at Kakchindra Ghat and drive to Patharghata Sadar then to Ruita village, from Ruita Battala you can rent a trawler and boat to Bihang Island.

4 Bukabunia Liberation War Memorial

 

Bukabunia Union of Baman Upazila was the sub-sector headquarters in the war of 1971 under the Ninth Sector. The freedom fighters from Bukabunia and Bamna upazilas fought in this district. Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Bukabunia Liberation War Memorial on 19 November 2013 to show the glorious history of the Liberation War of this region to the next generation and to show respect to the freedom fighters.

After going to Patharghata by bus from Barguna, you can easily reach Laldia forest by motorbike. You can also go to Patharghata via Pirojpur.

About 7 km south west of Taltali upazila of Barguna district, you can easily reach the beach on a nice evening by staying in Nalbunia area of Nishanbaria Union or by riding a bike.

10 Sidr Memorium

 

The catastrophic cyclone Sidr of 2008 caused extensive damage and loss of life in Barguna district. Most parts of Barguna were inundated by high tide and there was a crisis of high ground for burial of dead bodies. In the face of this catastrophe, 29 people were buried in 19 graves of Sidr who lost their lives in the high ground of Gorjanbunia village of Naltana Union No. 10 in Barguna Sadar. The Gorjanbunia Sidr Memorial was built by the district administration of Barguna to pay homage to the memory of all those killed and affected by the Sidr.

11 Horin Ghata

 

Haringhata is one of the places of interest in Patharghata upazila

If you come to Harinaghata Forest or Laldia Char, then you must first come to Barguna from either side of the country or on the river. Then from there, it can be made by bus, tempo or boat, in a talaoli, in Haringhata.

 

If you want to come to Haringhata forest or Laldia char, you have to come to Barguna first by road or river from any part of the country. From there you can go to Haringhata by bus, tempo or boat.
