A green land at the mouth of Baleshwar river in Patharghata upazila has come to be known as "Bihang Island". The length of the island is about 6 to 8 kilometers and the width is one and a half kilometers. The island, which woke up a few years ago, is home to migratory birds. The cosmos of the mangrove Sundarbans on the river bank to the west of the island is enchanting. The wonderful natural and picturesque island is now becoming a potential. The island is a mixture of white sand on one side and red sand on the other. Recently, the forestry created by the forest department has added a new dimension. The winter afternoon brings another serenity here. Sunset can be seen standing at the mouth of the sea. The forest department is setting up sanctuaries in the island's forests by releasing deer and endangered species. As a result, tourists come here every day to see the beauty of water, air and life. As winter approaches, visitors flock to the confluence of seas and rivers.
